Whole Energy Fuels supplies BIODIESEL and alternative fuels to a growing list of satisfied customers and partners in the Pacific Northwest. Declining oil reserves, global warming, national security and the health of local industry are issues that concern anyone who pays attention to current events. Our business model addresses these issues and contributes toward the goal of a sustainable future.
Approximately 80 billion gallons of diesel fuel is consumed annually, half for on-road use. Current bio-fuel production is about 0.1% of the market. The EPA, USDA, DOE, and DOD have all embraced biodiesel. Their support has taken the form of grant funding, adoption of this fuel in their fleets and general support for its production. Similar support is apparent in Canada, Europe, Australia, China, and India. Other bio-fuels also have strong support at the community and individual level.
Whole Energy commenced business in March of 2004 and was incorporated as Whole Energy Fuels Corporation on October 1, 2005. Please visit the other pages on our website for more information. Thank you for your interest in Whole Energy.
Cold Weather Considerations
The following information is intended to assist those operating vehicles on biodiesel during the Pacific Northwest Winter season.
Like all diesel fuels, biodiesel has cold weather limitations. Whole Energy recommends that you operate your diesel vehicle on b70/b75 during the winter months in Western Washington to ensure optimum performance. Most Whole Energy retailers are providing pre-blended b70/b75 at the pump but if your retailer is still offering b99 please follow these guidelines:
Prior to filling your vehicle with b99 fill your vehicle with a ¼ tank of petroleum diesel. Once filled with petroleum diesel fill the remainder of your tank with b99. Adding b99 after adding petroleum diesel combined with the agitation while driving will create a custom blend within your vehicles tank.
The above recommendation is for Western Washington’s Maritime Climate. If you will be traveling to the mountains, farther North, or farther East we recommend that you operate your vehicle on lower percentage blends of biodiesel ( b5 to b40 ). Remember that any % of biodiesel in your tank will help to offset foreign oil demand, greenhouse gas emissions and will go directly into supporting your local economy.
